The month of April was a very active one in Paradiso. We present a summary of everything we experienced during the past weeks.
Getting to Know La Plaza del Mercado!
The students had the opportunity to get to know La Plaza del Mercado Rafael Hernandez, located in Rio Piedras. During this visit, they learned about its history, the services available to citizens, and had the chance to buy items from the stalls in the Plaza.
Under the theme "Tribute to Salvador Tió" students had the opportunity to study the "décima".
Integrating the theme of recycling and conservation into the Spanish week, students also created posters alluding to the works of this great Puerto Rican figure, using materials that could end up in the trash.
The students received workshops organized by the Counseling and Special Education office. In the workshops, students were guided on the emotional implications of bullying. They also discussed managing emotions and creating an environment of healthy coexistence in school.
Contributing to the environment, the students participated in the cleanup of Poza del Obispo Beach in Arecibo. An experience that helped them see the impact that garbage has when it reaches the sea.
