Act 60 Donors:
Law 60-2019, also referred to as the “Incentive Code,” allows donors to benefit from an annual contribution of $10,000 to a certified non-profit organization listed under the Comisión Especial Conjunta de Fondos Legislativos para Impacto Comunitario (CECFL) that focuses on eradicating child poverty. Paradiso College Preparatory qualifies under these criteria and is eligible to receive the full donation amount of $10,000.
If a donor prefers to split their contribution between two organizations, they can do so as follows: The initial donation of $5,000 must go to a non-profit that addresses child poverty and is included in the CECFL list. The second $5,000 can be directed to any organization of the donor's choice that meets the requirements of section 1101.01 (a) (2). This could be the same organization that received the first donation or a different one. Additionally, if the donor already holds a decree under Law 22-2012, their donation obligation remains unchanged, provided they donate at least $5,000 to a certified Puerto Rican non-profit under section 1101.01 (a) (2).
